The people of the Beartooths enjoy a quality of life that is based in an active lifestyle.  Join us the weekend of September 17th and celebrate the unique recreational opportunities that we enjoy thanks to the diverse terrain of the Beartooth Mountains.

On Saturday, the Palisades To Basecamp Mountain Bike Race takes place on the slopes of  Red Lodge Mountain decending into town and ending at the Brewery for a pint and some amazing world class, yet local to Red Lodge, musical talent.  The Palisade lift will also run for public mountain biking on Sunday afternoon...that's two days of lift-serve mountain biking on Red Lodge Mountain!  Plan your Beartooth bike adventure weekend now for September 16-18.

If you prefer bipedal over two pedals, then join the fast feet fun of The Nitty Gritty Off Road Running Race.  Also taking place on the trails of Red Lodge Mountain, this event takes trail running to a whole new level of excitement.  Race starts on Sunday morning, September 18th.

Palisades To Basecamp

A cross country and enduro style mountain bike race with a lift ride, serious single track and yes, a grunt uphill. Starting at the top of Red Lodge Mountain and descending the Willow and Palisades trails through new and rebuilt singletrack trail.  The race ends at Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company with a free beer and music at Beartooth Basecamp festival.

The Nitty Gritty

OFF ROAD running RACE

This off-road running race at Red Lodge Mountain is starting to earn quite the reputation; that it's one nitty, gritty course where each lap features 1200 ft of elevation gain over dirt roads and single track trails. Get your relay team together or go at it solo - this unique event is the adventure race you won’t want to miss.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 18TH  - 7:30AM
