Critically acclaimed as rising stars in the national music scene, Satsang calls Red Lodge home and was born of the Beartooths. When McManus screams, "Where my Mountain People at?" the crowd can feel the connection and groove that could only be sourced from roots planted in the fertile soil of the Rock Creek drainage. Old Man Saxon is a Los Angeles hip hop artist who spent 2014 living out of his car while pursuing his rap career. He slept in the backseat of his Ford Explorer, showered at gyms, ate Happy Meals twice a day, and worked nights at a restaurant to keep money in his pocket. Every night, he wrote lyrics to keep his mind off the daily struggles. Over the course of the year, he wrote hundreds of songs, recorded about 30, and selected four songs that best captured the year—a defining moment in his life and career—for his new album, The Perils.
Laney Lou and the Bird Dogs have been forging a fresh and energetic sound in the northwest music scene since 2013. Their live show is highlighted by unbridled energy and punctuated by songs performed with fervor and rock 'n' roll swagger. The Bird Dogs push the envelope of what a string band is generally described as by fusing songs from folk, country, and rock. They’ve been hitting the road hard for the last three years, sharing stages with the likes of Corb Lund, Hayes Carll, Hurray for the Riff Raff, The Mavericks, Wynonna Judd, Mark Chesnutt, The Lil’ Smokies and many more.
